It's official (family-wise) I am an apostate
by RisingEagle ini was having lunch last week with my mom and she dropped the a-word on me.
my mom started off the lunch speaking about what a disappointment i was to her that my wife and i had put our little girl into a christian private school.
i posted on an earlier thread that my wife and i now have a 6 year old beautiful little girl that we're adopting.

Mr. Flippers Son & Girlfriend Have Bigfoot Experience on Weekend Trip
by flipper ingranted i expect a couple of you out there are doubting this and have expressed this, i certainly respect your right to do so.
that being said there are some of you who have dealt with this bigfoot experience in a very real way.
so here it goes, i had mentioned my son and his girlfriend last weekend were going back to the place my son had his may bigfoot sighting experience.

Please point me to the most horrible logical fallacy from the watchtower...
by DeusMauzzim in...... so i can hand it in for my logic class next week and have a chance of getting it into the course program next year .
please help this young apostate spread his evil lies at the synagogue of satan called university .

The order to shun their ex- and non- JW FAMILY. Pure evil. They site the 'bad association' verse and tell the fleck that the end is nigh and that we're about to die anyways, so don't spend the time left with us.
My life long favorite: 'the resurrected do not marry nor are they given in marriage, they are like angels' bullsh*t. All the kind men and women we've known who have lost their spouses, and you know that horrid memorial talk--the one in which the spouse is not mentioned as a recipient of the 'blessings of the resurrection', only friends and children. Makes me so F'n sick. It grated on me when I was a kid too.

Visit from my mom, oh the joy.
by RollerDave ini realize it's been a while since i spun a good yarn, but the past few days i have had my mom staying with us, and that is enough to fuel a yarn if anything ever was.. it starts last week when my sister, mrs po was over at mom's trying to discover why mom's pc seems to randomly shut itself off for no apparent reason.
i imagine she scoured the house for garage sale items with attached legions of demons or mischievous smurf dolls before noticing a correlation between the ancient prehistoric freezer mom has switching on or off, and the lights dimming and the pc simply going poof.. but it couldn't be this pleistocene menace freezer that is the problems, it has to be the top-end pc i built mom.. please excuse me while i roll my eyes and peer at the back of my skull for a moment or two..... there.. anyhoo, it gets decided that i'll come out and pick mom up along with her pc and bring the both of them back to my house for a few days.. not decided by me mind you, but decided nonetheless.. i mean, i've got a giant truck that chugs gas as if from a fire hose and an electric scooter to ride up to mom's door, why shouldn't i go collect her, haul all her stuff to the truck, load it, help her climb up into the truck and then load my scooter?.
all from the back of my scooter, mind you.

I am Frustrated beyond belief~/Please read!
by restrangled injust had a conversation with my mom about 13 million spent on defending and losing court cases by the society.. i argued that they can't argue against the catholics when they themselves are guilty of the same.. she replied she didn't care.
(after sending them $100,000.00 dollars) she stated that the catholic church had spent billions defending them selves and if the jw's had only spent millions .
that the society had spent billions sending a message, and if i didn't like their message then leave her alone and the rest of the group.. i am burning with rage......i was accused of trying to destroy her beliefs, and if i was not in agreement to reject the entire religion........which of course i have already done many moons ago.. r..

Restrangled, dude. We feel your pain. Just the other day on Walker, Texas Ranger, there was this poor man who was trying to get his 19-20ish year old daughter to see the light and leave a cult she had joined, the leader of which had made a number of babies among the other young ladies there. It was only when Assistant District Attorney Alex Cahill was captured by these loons and held against her will and threatened with bodily harm that the daughter came to her senses, as she was angered by seeing an innocent person harmed, only then did she desire to leave.
My point is, this sex-assault settlement is the best thing to happen since 1976 rolled around!!! You're on the right track, perhaps patience will rule for us all in the years to come. This won't be the only settlement that the Hohos have to pay, you'll see.

by faundy ini stopped going to meetings over a year ago as i'm a lesbian and have finally accepted it.
i was a witness for 22 years, since i was born.
now i missed my friends at the hall at first, but now i have some amazing new friends that love me no matter what.

Hi. It's tough because no matter how you leave there will be repurcussions, just decide which ones you want to deal with. If you leave soft you will lose some of the people you love, if you leave hard and fast you will lose others. No matter what, in the end you will lose all of them--and they will lose you as well. How you do it may just postpone the obvious and inevitable.
If you're happy and you know it (clap your hands) and tell the planet.
The scripture applies to them in that they 'have no natural affection'.

Confronting Our Parents. Part 1
by jakes induring winter school holidays here in south africa,my wife and i decided to travel down to our hometown.
to confront our parents about the jw issue.we felt we needed to clear the air and let them know what our .
standpoint regarding the jws are,and why we will not be raising their grandchildren in the org.. once and for all we needed to get this behind us.we needed to tell them about my book and felt it would.
